THE GIFT

From before time began, Jesus Christ was destined to step out of heaven and to walk this earth in flesh and blood. He lived a perfect, sinless life and imparted to us through His death, burial and resurrection from the dead "THE GIFT" of eternal life for all of humanity. This sculpture is cast in a limited edition of 40. It is a 6 inch tall, 8 inch wide deep relief sculpture mounted on a black granite and black walnut frame. The overall size of the piece with frame is 8 ½ inches by 10 ½ inches and is one of the most powerful pieces I have ever sculpted.

It was my desire, in sculpting THE GIFT, to touch the hearts of many with a striking image of what millions around the world will readily recognize as the moment our Lord Jesus Christ was laid upon his back, wounds open from a terrible scourging with a brutal whip, still bleeding, on a rough timber beam and had nails driven through his flesh towards completing his mission as the sacrificial lamb.
